What We Do

New Leaf Recovery Center provides support for adult clients with co-occurring disorder. At New Leaf, we provide group and individual therapy that specializes in both substance abuse disorder and mental health issues. Group and individual sessions consist of culturally sensitive services that include processing, psychoeducation, relapse prevention, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectic Behavioral Therapy, EMDR, and other forms of therapy.

Additionally, we provide services to help clients with their basic needs, including case management to help with finding housing and income resources, information on where to receive food, transportation needs, and other daily living needs. The program includes an employment specialist who helps clients work towards finding employment and we offer medication management services, including the ability to prescribe psychiatric medication and answer questions regarding medication. At New Leaf, we strive to work as a team to help clients reach their goals, and become the best versions of themselves.

Who We Serve

New Leaf Recovery Center serves adults 18 and older, who have a co-occurring disorder (both a substance abuse and mental health disorder). We accept Medi-Cal, Medi-Medi, and uninsured individuals. Those interested in the program (or referring parties) can call their nearest location and ask for a client screening.

Success Story

When Aaron first came to UPAC, he was a diagnosed schizophrenic, struggling to stay clean from marijuana use. He often spoke about various traumas that may or may not have physically happened. Initially, Aaron had a difficult time staying sober, but was dedicated to attending multiple group sessions and one individual session a week. Working with UAPC staff, he was able to lower his usage each week, and eventually become completely sober. With Aaron’s newly found sobriety, came a decrease in his schizophrenia, allowing him to hold coherent conversations and find himself future employment. He remained sober and graduated from the program with warm wishes from his peers and UPAC staff.
