You Are Worth Recovery

What We Do

It can be difficult to manage daily life when gambling has gotten out of control.  Often referred to as a “hidden addiction,” problem gambling can affect anyone, regardless of age, gender, position, education, or income, and it can go undetected for a long time.  The good news about gambling addiction is that treatment is effective and recovery is attainable. There is hope and help for anyone struggling with a gambling problem.  UPAC Problem Gambling Services offers both outpatient and intensive outpatient services consisting of individual and/or group sessions that are no-cost state-funded and fee-for-service.  We will meet you wherever you are and will help you reach the goals you want.  We will work together as a team to support you on your journey of learning, growth, and healing.  If you have an honest desire for help, we are here for you.

UPAC Problem Gambling Services is a California Gambling Education and Treatment Services (CalGETS) State Authorized Provider funded by the California Office of Problem Gambling through the UCLA Gambling Studies Program.

Success Story

After being caught for embezzlement, lying to friends, and having gambled all of her savings away, Jenny sat at home preparing to take her life.  When nearing her last resort, something moved her to attend a Gambler’s Anonymous meeting where she heard someone share that UPAC had helped them in their recovery.  The next day, Jenny picked up the phone and called UPAC Problem Gambling Services. From that moment on, she attended treatment 3 days a week for 3 months, focusing on herself, understanding her behaviors, and learning a new way of life. 18 months has passed, and today she has a smile on her face, is paying back debt, has supportive friends in recovery, and has learned to love herself again.
