Children & Adolescent Mental Health (CMH)

Outpatient Program
single-mom-African american

We offer highly effective general outpatient therapy and counseling for children and teens who are depressed, have neurological or disruptive behavioral issues, anxiety, school and family relational problems.

Clients meet with a professionally trained therapist who provides guidance and support with current life struggles.  Because each child and family is unique, our therapists form a personal connection with the individual and supporting family to work together to identify goals that will lead to a successful daily life.  A therapist may work with a treatment team that is made up of a Rehabilitation Specialist, Substance Abuse Counselor and/or a Psychiatrist.

Eligibility

Counseling and Psychiatric services are available for children and transitional age youth (ages 5-20).  UPAC CMH staff represents diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds and are capable of  providing services in the following languages:  Cambodian, Cantonese, Dutch, English, French, Indonesian, Mandarin, Spanish, and Vietnamese.  We utilize interpreters for any language not listed.  Services are provided to those with no insurance at a sliding scale.  Medi-Cal Insurance is accepted.
