Over 200 children's lives were brightened with new toys this holiday season, thanks to the generous contributions from Toys for Tots.

Citi and Union of Pan Asian Communities Partner to Provide Homeownership Services to Ethnic San Diegans, November 2010
San Diego, CA – Citi has partnered with Union of Pan Asian Communities (UPAC) to provide homeownership information and services to low- and moderate-income individuals and families throughout San Diego. UPAC, a comprehensive health and human services organization focusing on the needs of Asian, Pacific Islander and other ethnic communities, has received a $15,000
contribution from Citi to support the Housing

A Special “Thank You” to Wells Fargo Economic Development Project:
Funded by the Wells Fargo Foundation in October 2010, the program conducts outreach to very low and low to moderate income (LMI) and limited-English proficient (LEP) Vietnamese and East African individuals interested in starting or expanding small businesses. Prospective entrepreneurs attend business courses and receive individual follow-up. Program participants receive guidance in business skill development, financial resources identification, permits and licenses obtainment, and increased understanding of small business bookkeeping and management. Ten new businesses will be established and two small businesses expanded.
7th Asian Heritage Awards Dinner, July 2010
Tom Hom received a special recognition award for breaking ground more than a generation ago as the first Asian American in San Diego to hold public office. Tom was applauded for his involvement in San Diego's downtown development and helping to expand the city's role as a professional sports town.
UPAC President & CEO Margaret Iwanaga-Penrose received an award for her achievements in community service.
